DWAYNE BELL DRAWING & ILLUSTRATION

Looking back, 2019 feels like a high point in my bus drawing practice. These sketches capture a balance I’m always striving for—anatomical accuracy paired with expressive, fluid mark-making and a sense of narrative. There’s an ease and confidence in these pages, a natural flow that feels unforced.
Then, in 2020, Covid brought everything to an abrupt halt. Whatever momentum I had built up was lost, and even now, years later, I don’t think I’ve fully found my way back to where I was. The disruption left a mark—not just on my routine but on the way I approach drawing itself.
