JONATHAN EDWARDS
Jonathan Edwards is a drawing powerhouse. A scan through his instagram feed shows and endless energy and passion for exploring the world through drawing. It is, in equal measure, inspiring and sickening to watch the work appear, not on a daily basis, but seemingly hour by hour. One or two times a year, Jonathan will take a trip, usually to deliver a workshop or presentation or be part of a convention or art fare, and he'll record the trip via sketchbooks. We're likely to have 5 or 6 amazing drawings delivered before he's set foot on the plane to leave the country. By the time he's been away for 5 days or so, we'll have seen entire sketchbooks of drawings and paintings be filled. We don't get a glimpse of a daily highlight, we get the trip in a true narrative form. |
