Forwards Always, by Matthew The Horse as a collection of poetry and illustration. I'm inspired by both the print and the call to action that is at the heart of this book's spirit.
"Forwards Always is a collection of poems to be read aloud. The book is a toy, a script, a game and a puzzle. These poems are activated through performance and play. How you choose to make sense of them is up to you and your audience. There is a good one about melons." |
My best guess at the moment is that the Hospital's ambition for my work, is for it to be pinned to a wall near the hospital entrance. I'd like to aim for something with more ambition. Could I produce a book that is left in waiting areas? Could it make people feel more comfortable, could it tell stories of the people who work in the hospital? Could it be the stories of other patients? Could it be light hearted and warm?

Where could I get something like this printed? How much would it cost? Who would pay? Is there funding?

A swift google search of "paperback printing" offers up a glut of possible printers. The classic book size is 'demi' and can cost less than £3 per unit if ordered by the hundred.
I've reached out to Matthew, to ask about his printer. |
