TREY BRYAN

Trey Bryan, is a New Orleans based illustrator and artist and another of my instagram finds. Though producing work in a broad spectrum of approaches, it is the his sketchbook work which strikes a chord with me. Loose, gestural and responsive, Trey's sketchbook work (and illustrations which adopt his sketchbook aesthetic) help give me the confidence to accept my own such approach as being suitable for 'finished' artwork. In the ongoing battle between gestural and honest drawings as opposed to studied, 'good' drawings, I am slowly gaining ground.
